Louis joins Rapax for the rest of the 2017 Formula 2 season

Switzerland’s Louis Delétraz will race for Rapax at the last four rounds of this year’s FIA Formula Two Championship.

The 20-year-old, who is mentored by Haas F1 Team driver Romain Grosjean, will drive the Italian-based squad’s car for the first time at this weekend’s Belgian Grand Prix.

He will then line up for the team in the remaining F2 races at Monza, Jerez and Yas Marina.

Rapax are currently fifth in the F2 Teams’ Standings and ADS Securities-supported Louis is looking forward to joining a team that has claimed one win and four other podiums so far this season.

He said: “It’s always an exciting prospect to be going racing at Spa Francorchamps but I’m particularly happy that I’ll be there with Rapax this weekend. They have a good record in 2017 and I’m looking forward to getting in the car and tackling one of the most famous tracks in the world.”

Louis scored his first F2 point of the season at the last event in Hungary (28-30 July) and he’s focused on achieving more success before the 2017 campaign reaches its conclusion at the end of November.

“It’s been quite a hard start to the season but joining Rapax will be a new experience for me and a great opportunity to show what I can do. Friday’s Free Practice and Qualifying sessions can’t come quickly enough – I’m really motivated for the rest of the season and will try to do my maximum.”
