Four-hour challenge begins for Louis at Paul Ricard

The third round of the European Le Mans Series is just two days away, where Louis Delétraz will return to race action with the ORLEN Team WRT for a four-hour thrilling contest in the South of France.

The 24-year-old will be hoping to repeat the success after an incredible start to the season with a maiden win at the season-opener in Barcelona and then a second victory at the Red Bull Ring.

Louis Delétraz, Robert Kubica and Yifei Ye lead the standings by 19 points over the #26 G-Drive and will be looking for a third win of the season in Le Castellet.

A 42-car field will tackle the 3.642km French venue with 29 different teams and 123 drivers taking part in the 4 Hours of Le Castellet.

“It’s a great track and different to the others. I’ve known it for many years and have competed in a lot of races there and also many test sessions”, the REMUS-supported driver explains.

The weekend will follow the usual schedule. Following the collective testing on Thursday, the first official session will take place on Friday with Free Practice 1. The Free Practice 2 will be on Saturday morning and the Qualifying session will follow at 14:20 CETS. The race will go green at 11:00, setting the grid for the four-hour race.

“I’m really looking forward to Round 3 of the ELMS at Paul Ricard. This track looks easy from the outside but it’s pretty technical even though there are massive run offs areas. After winning the two first races of the year we kept working hard to improve as a team and hopefully we can carry this momentum forward. Of course, it won’t be easy as everyone is going to try and beat us, but we are ready!” Louis said.
