Louis joins Inter Europol Competition for WEC races in Portimão and Fuji

After the earlier announcement of Louis Delétraz participating in the upcoming Le Mans 24 Hours with the ORLEN Team WRT, the talented young Swiss driver will be back behind the wheel of a LMP2 car in the FIA World Endurance Championship at Portimão and Fuji, racing with the Inter Europol Competition team.

Louis, who made his debut last year is set to return to the FIA WEC with two more races. The REMUS-supported driver is replacing Renger van der Zande, who will be busy with other commitments, and joining Alex Brundle and Kuba Smiechowski behind the wheel of the #34 Oreca-07 Gibson.

The Swiss driver is looking forward to competing outside of Europe once again, saying: “I am happy to join the Inter Europol Competition team in the FIA WEC at Portimão and Fuji. We have a strong line-up with Alex Brundle and Kuba Smiechowski. It will be good to come back to WEC after my Le Mans debut last year and it adds more races to my programme. I am looking forward to it and to perform with the team”.

Sascha Fassbender, Team Manager: “I am very happy to welcome Louis, a very talented young driver to our team. He certainly will be a worthy replacement for Renger in Portimão and Fuji.”
