Louis ready to push as ELMS title fight resumes in Belgium Edit Subject

Louis refocuses back on the ELMS Championship after the heartbreak of Le Mans 24 and gets ready to race again in Round 5 of the 2021 season, which is just around the corner taking place at the challenging and world-famous circuit in the Ardennes Forest, Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps.

After the disappointment at the Le Mans 24, Louis Delétraz and the ORLEN Team WRT are more motivated than ever and craving for success again. The championship leaders Louis, Robert, and Yifei have an 11-point lead over their nearest rivals – the no.26 G-Drive Racing and prepare to work hard to claim yet another victory in hope to extend their lead at the top.

This year’s grid will consist of 39 cars, with 14 cars participating in the LMP2 category representing a total of 27 different nations.

Racing at Spa-Francorchamps brings added emotions, in which this is the “home race” for Team WRT and this gives the team the added incentive and determination to collect more podium finishes.

“Spa is a fantastic track, and this is always a round on the calendar that you look forward to. Eau-Rouge is a tremendous corner where you feel real adrenaline. There is always a feeling somewhere between fear and excitement entering Eau-Rouge at high speeds. You never know how it’s going to turn out!”, the REMUS-supported driver explained.

The 4 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps will take place between 17-19 September 2021 and will be the first event of the season that will welcome fans to witness some great endurance racing action in person.

Louis Delétraz: “I’m really looking forward to get back to racing at Spa. After the heartbreak in Le Mans we are all motivated for success. The championship fight is tight, we have to be perfect. Spa is a home race for us at WRT, the fans are back in the tribunes. We can’t wait to be there!”.
